WE NEED RAIN

WE NEED IT TO POUR RAIN! When it does rain (which has been very rare these last few weeks) it sprinkles for 5 minutes (at the most!). This is a Picture of us waiting for rain. It was thundering and lightning and we were so excited so we went outside and waited. IT NEVER CAME! We were very disapointed.

FIREWORKS!!!!

Well, Yesterday was the 4th of July and we had some awesome fireworks. First we went to the church to watch a few then we went home and pulled out our stash. All of my little cousins were huddle up against me while we watched them explode. One of the big ones tipped over and shot in our direction and only missed us by a few feet (we moved after that). After that Donny, Travis, Paul, and my Dad tried some experiments. they tied different fireworks together and blew them up and we had some other scary experiences. Donny bought 24 packs of little metal sparklers for a sparkler bomb that they are going to blow up on the 25th when we have our other family thing. How EXCITING (not)!

Drowning Mickey

Today at swim team while we were warming up I spotted something on one of the ropes that cut of the deep end from the swimming lanes. IT WAS A BABY MOUSE!!! I screamed "IT'S A MOUSE! AHHHH!" (just so you know I hate mice!) but of course my love for animals kicked in and I felt sympathy for the poor thing and yelled "SAVE IT HURRY BEFORE IT DROWNS!". I got the lifeguards attention and she got a net. But she stood their and told us a story about another time there was a mouse in the pool. While she was talking the mouse jumped into the water and started to swim! My friends and I were yelling at her, telling her to save her story for later and to rescue the drowning rodent. She did as we said and scooped up the little clump of shivering wet fur. Poor Mickey (that's what I named him). She let him go in the grass and we screamed for joy. Some girl said "He just wanted to be on the swim team! Did you see his breast stroke. . . AMAZING!!". We laughed so hard and continued with the jokes later on. What a weird experience though!
